Handle With Care: Childproofing Your Move:

I’ll take “Stressful Situations” for $200, Alex. The question: “These are guaranteed to make a crazy move even crazier.” Answer: “What are toddlers?” Correct! For parents with  young children ,  moving  isn’t just about getting their stuff from Point A to Point B. It’s also about making sure their kids don’t hurt themselves during the chaos. Fun! There are no set rules on how to childproof your move, but a little bit of common sense goes a long way toward keeping your kid out of urgent care. First and perhaps foremost, you’ll want to keep track of dangerous items. Keep a close eye on medications and make sure to put them in a hard-to-reach place as soon as possible. Ditto for much of the  tools you’ll need to unpack : box cutters, knives, scissors, etc. If it’s sharp and/or poisonous, odds are a toddler will want to play with it. Don’t ask us why. Cleaning supplies are another big one. It’s a given that you’ll want to do a little cleaning on moving day. Just be sure
